River to Richards: Documentary Photography in Hawaiʻi 2025
A documentary photography exhibit at Downtown Art Center that featured imagery of the dynamic and resilient district that includes Chinatown and much of downtown Honolulu.
As Exhibition Coordinator I facilitated the inclusion of historic images by Kate Kelly and Francis Haar that created a visual timeline of the area starting in the early 1900's through to the contemporary photographs juried into the exhibition by PF Bentley.
Six Images from the Kate Kelly “Lei Sellers” series featured in the exhibition were acquired by the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) Art in Public Places Collection. This public art collection is displayed in hundreds of state government sites across Hawaiʻi, including schools, libraries, and the Hawaiʻi State Capitol building.
